Empowering Local Leaders to Erect Houses of Worship Across Africa & Asia

“And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.”Matthew 16:18
At Church Jehova Nissi Canada and the Global Nissi Alliance (GNA), we believe that establishing a permanent, physical house of worship is one of the most powerful catalysts for spiritual growth, community stability, and long-term kingdom impact. A physical church building serves as more than just a place for Sunday worship—it becomes a beacon of hope, a sanctuary for the vulnerable, and a hub for community outreach.

Beginning in 2027, our flagship Timothy Fund is expanding its mandate beyond educational scholarships to launch the Global Church Planting & Construction Grant Initiative. This initiative is dedicated to funding permanent sanctuary constructions, land acquisitions, and facility expansions for verified partner ministries across Africa and Asia.

Timothy Fund: 2027 Church Planting Grant Tiers

All funding allocations under the Timothy Fund are distributed strictly in Canadian Dollars (CAD). Grant applications are divided into four funding tiers based on project scope, community size, and architectural specifications:

Grant Eligibility & Anti-Fraud Vetting Criteria

To protect Kingdom resources and ensure that funds directly serve genuine, fruit-bearing ministries, Church Jehova Nissi Canada enforces strict administrative and legal vetting. Briefcase organizations, unverified entities, and speculative proposals will be automatically rejected.

To qualify for a Timothy Fund Church Planting Grant, your ministry must meet the following mandatory conditions:

Mandatory GNA Membership Approval

  • Approved Members Only: Financial and construction proposals cannot be submitted by non-members. Your ministry must have completed the official GNA onboarding process and received full membership approval prior to submitting a grant proposal.

Verified Land Ownership or Active Purchase Standing

  • Unrestricted Ownership: The land intended for church construction must be legally owned by the ministry, with valid title deeds, land registry certificates, or official government allocation documents provided in the ministry’s name.
  • Land Under Purchase Process: Ministries currently in the process of acquiring land may apply, provided they submit legally binding purchase agreements, land search documents, and proof of partial payment showing clear path to full title deed acquisition.
  • Note: Proposals requesting funds for speculative land where no legal rights or purchase processes exist will not be considered.

Track Record & Financial Integrity

  • Active Ministry Advantage: Having an ongoing construction project, a temporary shelter already built, or an actively gathering congregation is a major added advantage. We prioritize funding live, active works over abstract concepts.
  • Financial Standing: The applicant organization must demonstrate transparent financial accounting, active local governance, and verified leadership integrity to prevent fraud or misuse of funds.

Co-Sponsorship & Local Commitment

  • Local Stake: Partner ministries are expected to demonstrate local commitment—whether through covering local administrative costs, architectural fees, site clearing, or community labor contributions.
