The History of Church Jehova Nissi Since our inception, our heart has been to do exactly what Jesus taught: Love God and Love People. We began with a small group of believers in Winnipeg who were hungry for a move of God, and over the decades, we have seen thousands of lives restored. We are a “Jehova Nissi” church—meaning “The Lord is my Banner.” We carry His victory into the darkest places of our society.
STATEMENT OF FAITH
OUR THEOLOGICAL FOUNDATION
The Holy Bible We believe the Holy Bible, and only the Bible, is the authoritative Word of God. It is the final authority in determining all doctrinal truths. In its original writing, it is inspired, infallible, and inerrant. We do not add to it, nor do we take away from it; we submit our lives to its teachings.
The Trinity There is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and co-eternal, working in perfect unity to bring about the redemption of mankind.
Jesus Christ Jesus Christ is God the Son, the second person of the Trinity. He was 100% God and 100% man. We believe in His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, and His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood. We believe in His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal return in power and glory.
Salvation & Repentance We are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. Salvation is a gift from God, not a result of our good works. Repentance is the commitment to turn away from sin in every area of our lives and follow Christ. Through this act, we are regenerated by the Holy Spirit and reconciled to God.

The Vision: 20k Winnipeg
Our vision is bold because our God is big. We are committed to reaching 20,000 people weekly across the Winnipeg area. But this isn’t about filling a stadium; it’s about taking the Church beyond the walls.
- The Mission Field: Our members are empowered to dream for their specific mission fields—their workplaces, their schools, and their neighborhoods.
- The Outreach: We are actively present in Winnipeg’s jails, homeless shelters, and community centers. Through our “Dream Center” and mobile church initiatives, we are breaking down the barriers of religion to bring the hope of the Gospel directly to those who feel forgotten by society.
